How To Remove Makeup

It is very important to remove all traces of makeup before you go to bed at night, regardless of how tired you are. Leaving eyeshadow and mascara on will not only result in streaks all over your pillow, but can make your eyes puffy and sore the next morning. Leaving other makeup on your face is also bad as your skin will be unable to breathe so can result in breakouts and irritations.

To remove eye makeup it is best to use a proper remover. If you have sensitive eyes you can buy specially formulated kinds which are not irritating to the eye but still remove the makeup.

However, if you still have problems, many people recommend using baby oil or baby shampoo to clean makeup off your eyes. It is very gentle and doesn't sting or burn. Just dab some over the makeup then rinse well with water. However, when cleansing makeup from your eyes, you should always be gentle, especially as the area of skin underneath your eyes is very delicate.

For cleansing the face of
foundation and blusher etc, you should use a facial wash which removes makeup, or special facial tissues/ wipes which also do this job. After you have removed all traces, rinse your face with warm water to get rid of any soapy or cleanser residue, then dry gently with a towel.
